An excellent book for quick and easy projects for the young gardeners out there! This is called the Enchanted Path which are stepping stones made with cement and Rhubarb leafs. Very easy to make and great fun for the inner child. I made these this evening so they should be dry by tomorrow morning as long as the weather stays dry. These when ready will be going up to the allotment in my little ones patch!

Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-54311490702164894382011-05-24T20:21:00.004+01:002011-05-24T20:41:30.927+01:00Allotment Fencing

I recently became the owner of an allotment, it is great. It is such a lovely place to be for me and my Baby out in the fresh air enjoying the warm sunshine. I am planning to keep chickens on it in the near future. I have planted some potatoes and Lupins which are growing nicely.

I soon realised that having a bored baby was not allowing me to get with the planting digging etc. So the plan was to create a space for him to play and explore in. I have three apple trees on the allotment and a grass/ nettle area this is going to be his. My brother was able to get me some wood and the plan was that he or other family members were going to build it for me. This was going to take some time so I decided to build it myself and here it is. I enlisted the help of my daughter and sister and I am pleased to say that I am very proud of us, what an achievement! I painted it today and took lots of photos. It just goes to show that if you put your mind and hands to it you can do anything!.

Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-11663582165281528642011-02-11T08:38:00.001+00:002011-02-11T08:38:11.122+00:00Mandala

Mandala
Originally uploaded by J2ART
Latest in the Mandala drawings.
Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-4332312866831535992011-01-14T16:33:00.001+00:002011-01-14T16:33:19.618+00:00Dont POP the Balloon!

Dont POP the Balloon!
Originally uploaded by J2ART
Trying out some Zentangle.
Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-58138015893192360802010-12-07T15:50:00.001+00:002010-12-07T15:50:03.516+00:00Christmas Wreath Cake

Christmas Wreath Cake
Originally uploaded by J2ART
Had a go at making a Wreath cake really pleased with the way it turned out.
Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-48234750165555964972010-11-25T19:48:00.001+00:002010-11-25T19:48:40.738+00:00Mandala

Mandala
Originally uploaded by J2ART
Latest project Mandalas based on the Chakras, I have started with the Heart first.
Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-2471529742885280142010-11-13T10:00:00.002+00:002010-11-13T10:01:56.869+00:00Peacock

Peacock
Originally uploaded by J2ART
OK OK I started this a while ago found it the other evening and decided to finish it of. Its not been has hard as I thought doing nothing creative. I'm busy looking after my baby so I cant do anything until he goes to bed at 7.30, at the moment this is not a problem as I am having time out from my creative world. I shall be busy this afternoon walking a cute little dog which i am doing for a friend while she is away. The weather is nice today the sun is shinning so it will be good to get some fresh air. I ordered a Labradorite crystal for myself which came yesterday, I bought it to help with my insecurities as it happens it also good for calming the mind and helps with colds and allot more but what a coincidence. I have lots more crystals I'm in the process of creating a crystal rainbow outside the front door from a book I have by Mary Lambert great book. Enjoy your day.Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-83721782188376401362010-11-08T15:13:00.003+00:002010-11-08T15:29:58.869+00:00Time to Stop.I have decided to not create anything for a while and take time out! My head is always so busy with ideas sometimes I cant sleep, I'm going to find this very difficult as I feel I should be doing something what it is I'm not sure. So I try different things and get bored and move onto something else. I have projects that I have started and not completed. I buy things and don't even open the box. My background is fine art my medium is drawing so I thought I would clear out items that are not related to this and stop hoarding them. I am a Spiritual person and would like create work relating to this, I love Mandalas I have made a few of these. I'm learning to Meditate and I enjoy working with crystals. So I hope this will help me. I love working with colour so maybe create something along these lines. It maybe during this time that I should just write down things and see what happens.Jennyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07576112424727954220noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-799020040101681760.post-33482370004190670112010-11-08T14:57:00.002+00:002010-11-08T15:00:40.355+00:00Pumpkin Cake
Pumpkin Cake

I made this for my Nephews Halloween Party. The plan is to keep chickens and grow some vegetables. There has been an increase over the last few years for keeping an allotment so I am on a waiting list. Also I am limited as to where I can go as not all allotments allow you to keep poultry. I did not intend to have so many. Last year I collected the pumpkin seeds put them in tinfoil to plant this year. I threw loads of the seeds into the soil thinking they were Sunflower seeds! (I have no idea why I thought they were Sunflower seeds).
I threw them down by the trellis and netting hoping to see a glorious display of flowering 6ft Sunflowers! I was reading Barbs Craft therapy and the one she has created is beautiful. I also looked at link to another blog by Kelly Kilmer a life made in hands workshop absolutely beautiful. This has given me inspiration to create my own. It was suggested that I create one in the past. I have kept a dairy and made various notes but I think a journal would be more creative combining words with images.
